The Fourth

We had a great time celebrating all weekend with family.  My sister & BIL invited us to the lake on Sunday and Adam could hardly wait.  It is his favorite place to go.

The boys had tons of fun on the SUPER BRAWLER.  Check out Adams hair and the big smile on his face.

Colton LOVED, LOVED, LOVED being on the boat…and wearing his new Spongebob sunglasses.P1080275P1080277

My baby brother swimming in the lake with his glasses on…funny story…

So evidently Josh ran out of contacs and had to wear his glasses at the lake.  We were all swimming and all of the sudden Josh realizes he doesn’t have his glasses on anymore. (how do your glasses come off your face in the water and you don’t realize it?)  My mom was getting a little upset because evidently she had spent some good money on those glasses.  Well Josh was determined he was going to find his glasses…at the bottom of a HUGE, MURKY lake!?!?!?  We were all rolling our eyes and laughing at him for thinking he could find them.  He dove down about 4 times and the 5th time came up out of the water with glasses in hand!  ONE LUCKY BOY!P1080307

Once Josh recovered from the glasses fiasco, he was able to demonstrate the fine art of the “pencil jump” for the boys and then Adam & Bentley attempted the “pencil jump”

On Monday, my parents invited us to the club for dinner and fireworks.  I think I have mentioned on this blog several time how much I hate fireworks, so I was not too excited about that, but the food lured me in. :)

Colton loved riding the red & blue train…but Bentley & Adam were less than thrilled to have to ride it with him.

They had a bounce house and Colton could have cared less about it.  However, he was very interested in all the shoes laying outside the entrance.  This boy LOVES other peoples shoes.

Wide open space…Ahhhh.  He was in heaven.

These 2 boys were stirring up all kinds of trouble and hitting old ladies in the head with footballs! Winking smile

And…some patriotic decorations on my “little blue hutch”.  My mom cleaned out her basement and found some more milk glass treasures for my hutch.  My collection is growing!  the hutch was passed down from my grandparents and was the first piece of furniture they bought after getting married.  I painted it pottery barn blue and was not sure if that was the best choice for a while…but it is growing on me.
