First Day On Vaca

We are having a great time in Myrtle Beach.  We originally thought the weather was going to be bad while we were here because of predictions for Hurricane Emily…but it was perfectly sunny and hot today and they say it will be the same tomorrow.  Yippppeee!

Pool Ready…almost

P1080030

Could Colton’s floating device be any uglier? Could he be any cuter?

P1080027

I have searched the globe for a good floatie for him.  He is WILD in the pool and has no fear.  He is too big for the little blow up ones you sit in and too little for the arm band ones.  This was the only one that worked decently, but it is so UGLY!  Seriously, could they not use a cuter fabric or something?  I call this his wrestling suit.  Please let me know if any of you have discovered a better option out there.P1080028

Adam said he was so embarrassed of Colton in in this “wrestling suit” that he was going to act like he did not know us at the pool.  And he did just that.  He put his stuff on a chair that was on the other side of the pool from me & Colton.  I kept waiving at Adam in the pool and yelling his name to embarrass him more and he would just dunk under water and hide.P1080032P1080031

I am LOVING my rolling pool bag I got at IKEA!  I know it is a little obnoxious, but it holds all our towels and junk perfectly and it is so easy to just roll around instead of lugging a big bag on my sunburned shoulder. Smile

It even has a nice pouch that holds all our sunscreen.  Love it!P1080035

And speaking of sunscreen…I am not real good about keeping it on my kids.  I mean I use it, but I am not obsessive about it and it really frustrates Mark when the kids come home from the pool a little red. Smile  But I do highly recommend this new sunscreen.  It is 70 SPF and you can put it on wet skin.  Good stuff.
